Ways to Make Money Online with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is one of the ways new bloggers monetize their blogs or websites. It’s usually their first point of contact and it shapes their online money-making experience.

Most people give up after using Google AdSense in hopes of making so much money from their blogs, but the reality is new blogs or websites can’t make lots of money as ad revenue because they lack one simple thing which is called ORGANIC TRAFFIC.

Organic traffic is a type of traffic which means people land, stumble, visit your website through search engine pages which means they searched for something on Google, Bing, Ask, they saw the search engine result page, your blog or website was listed and they chose to click on your website.

There are a lot of factors that go in people clicking your website. Having a good domain URL, domain name, page title and meta descriptions can bring in more overall clicks but what’s important is how do you show up in the first page of those search results?

Well, the answer is BACKLINK.

But, that’s not the reason for writing this article. So, new blogs need organic traffic to increase their Google AdSense revenue.

Ways to Increase Google AdSense Revenue

  1. Increase organic search traffic by building relevant backlinks to your blog or website
  2. AD Placement: This is very important because Google AdSense is a CPC Ad network which means you only get paid when a website visitor clicks on your link. You need to think about ad placements, where and how visitors can see your ad and also make sure it triggers a click. To do, you need to be more aggressive with ad placements which don’t necessarily mean more ads because it’s not by the number of ads you have a page that makes you more money, it’s the number of perfectly placed ads in strategic places so it’s visible and irresistible to visitors.
  3. AD Optimization: There are different ways you can optimize an ad, by looking for the best type of ad to use for different placements. For example, instead of using text ads, use more visual ads, and you can always go a step further to add in-content ads which rhyme with the content layout so it looks more fitted and natural.
  4. Asking Visitors to Support: You can easily ask your website visitors to help support your blog or website by clicking the ads maybe once per day, not aggressively, just moderately. If you put in a donate button, most people normally won’t give you a single dime of their own money (myself included) but they can always click on 1-2 ads for you.
  5. Use Fast Hosting: A website that loads fast can fully load the page quickly so visitors can access information without waiting for so long and losing interest altogether. It also decreases your website’s bounce rate, which means people would stay longer on your blog or website.
  6. Use an SEO/AD friendly Theme: There have been different situations where your theme doesn’t have the required space for an ad. Some themes don’t make room for leaderboard ads, maybe because of beauty and aesthetics or simply because it’s a performance first theme.
